A few years later, I moved into a new home and turned the Ramona property into a full rental. At first, it barely broke even. Some months, it even cost me money to keep it. But I held onto it. Over time, rents increased, the mortgage balance dropped, and eventually the property started generating about $1,900 in monthly cash flow, completely changing my financial picture.
